Respirator Fit: We require the Quantitative – 3M 6500QL series half mask and 6000 series full face *This may be obtained from a local Safety Provider*

Confined Space – ESC (Energy Safety Canada)

3 M fit test, with a WHMIS.

If anyone is looking at the nuclear, there is no Dispatch requirements.

Lodge 73

As per Article 7.07 of our collective agreements here in NS & NB-

The Union agrees to provide the Employer with qualified employees (including Apprentices) who hold the following core health and safety training, WHMIS 2015 GHS, Confined Space Entry, Audiometric Testing (effective May 1, 2017), Fall Arrest/Fall Protection and Quantitative Respirator Fit tested.  Where required by the Customer/Client potential employees shall have current CSTS certification or equivalent and H2S Alive.

Core 4 Needed would be

  1. WHIMIS 2015
  2. Fall Protection
  3. Confined Space.
  4. Quantitative Fit Test

When H2S or otherwise is required for a specific site it is provided by the client or contractor. CSTS is not required by any sites here in the east as of now.
