Canada Revenue Agency has issued the 2012 Automobile Allowance Rates, the new rate has been set at $0.53 per kilometer, as such, on February 28, 2012 as per collective agreement this will be the new rate for travelling expenses. The job posting for a Boilermaker Instructor is now live on the BCIT website and will close on January 20, 2012. All applicants must apply online at http://www.bcit.ca/hr/careers and click on the Boilermaker link listed in "Instructional Opportunities". Applicants will be rated and shortlisted by BCIT, only those who are selected on the shortlist will be contacted for interviews.

The result of the election of delegates to the 32nd Consolidated Convention as reported by the Election Committee today are as follows;

The Business Manager by virtue of office and top 6 elected delegates will be attending the Convention. Should any of the 6 elected delegates not be able to attend, then they will be replaced by the alternates in order of number of votes received. Only 5 alternate credentials are issued by International headquarters.
